This hood protects principally the rider by sun and against the UV in its recumbent Trike. The canopy is light-weighted and can be installed or withdrawn in some seconds and stored in a bag behind.

What is the weight of protection?

The protection weighs between 1.7kgs and 2kgs, depending on the rear mounting chosen.

What is the degree of protection?

The upper body is protected from UV rays when the sun is at its zenith. The lower legs remain partially exposed.

Is the Veltop Sun Ride easy to deploy?

The canopy can be fitted or removed in 2 minutes. It can be stored in the rear bag with the fiberglas poles and straps if you wish to ride without them.

Is it easy to get on the recumbent with the protection?

The hood's 2 vertical supports can be unclipped if you wish to clear the way. However, you can sit in the seat without this optional operation.
