This new recumbent protection is designed to accommodate and support the addition of a flexible solar panel (not supplied) on a tubular structure covered with a waterproof foam backing. To support the tubular structure, you can opt for an aluminium tube or a windscreen at the front. You can place solar panels up to 160cm long and 80cm wide using a Velcro fastening system, depending on the amount of energy you need to recharge the battery of your electric assistance system and on-board accessories.

Tube version

Make the most of the good weather and keep your recumbent bike well ventilated. This version is fitted with an aluminium tube that holds the frame and solar panel in place.

Windscreen version

Thanks to its 3-piece polycarbonate windscreen, this version also lets you enjoy your recumbent in the rain and reduce airflow. You can also lower the central windscreen to create a viewing window.

Adapted to the geometry of your recumbent

The Veltop Power Ride can be installed on most recumbent bikes, thanks to specific supplied mountings, adapted to each trike configuration and common to the Veltop Expedition and Sun Ride models. The tubular structure with its waterproof foam support preserves the design and recognized manufacturing quality of our models.

You already have a Veltop Expedition or Sun Ride model

All our recumbent models have been designed with common mounting parts that allow you to switch from one model to another. We have developed packs where you can keep parts of your model to fit the tubular construction of the Power Ride. So you can ride in the rainy season with the Veltop Expedition and in the summer protected from the sun with the Veltop Sun Ride or Power Ride.

What is the weight of the protection with all the fasteners?

Weights range from 4.4kg for the tube version to 6.8kg for the windscreen version. For full specifications, click here.

What is the degree of protection?

The whole body is protected from UV rays when the sun is at its zenith.

Is the solar panel included with the Veltop Power Ride?

No, we don't supply the solar panel. This model includes front and rear brackets, tubular frame and waterproof foam support, so you can attach your own solar panel with Velcro fasteners supplied by us.

If I already own the Veltop Expedition or Veltop Sun Ride, can I simply buy the missing parts to get the Veltop Power Ride?

If you already own the Veltop Expedition, you can buy the missing parts directly to get the Veltop Power Ride, either by using your windscreen or by buying the front tube pack by clicking here.
